The District Government of Banjar, South Kalimantan Province, won the national award of Wahana Tata Nugraha (WTN) 2024 from the Transportation Ministry and this is for the umteeth time the district won the similar award.
 
Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi handed over the award to Banjar Deputy Regent Said Idrus Al Habsyi at the Hub Space 2024 event at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Saturday.

"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), this award was achieved thanks to the support of all elements of society and stakeholders who have worked hard," said Said Idrus in a press statement released by the Banjar Comm-info Office in Martapura, Saturday.

Banjar was one of 76 governments, provincial, district and city, in Indonesia, who were assessed to have managed their transportation and public facilities well.

Said Idrus emphasized that this award is proof of Banjar government's consistency in arranging transportation and other facilities so that the public feel safe and comfortable.
 
Head of Banjar Transportation Office I Gusti Nyoman Yudiana said that this award could be a trigger for everyone to improve transportation performance.
 
"We are all at the Transportation Office ready to carry out our duties in transportation so that the public can enjoy infrastructure and facilities well," said Nyoman.
 
Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that the award an appreciation for the local governments who have contributed to providing good transportation that benefits for the public.
 
"This award is a pride, in addition to encourage them to provide good public services, especially in transportation," he said.
