Hundreds of residents on Barito River banks, in Kuin Kecil Village, Aluh-Aluh Sub-district, Banjar District, received basic food assistance from PT Adaro Energy Indonesia.
Adaro collaborated with Rumah Zakat and Perum LKBN ANTARA South Kalimantan Bureau for the distribution of the aid along Barito River in Banjar District, South Kalimantan, Wednesday (August 21, 2024).
Grandma Mariah (79), one of Kuin Kecil villager who received the aid from Adaro "Hidupkan Hati" (Ignites Heart) program entitled "Encourage gratitude, share for the country".
Living right on the bank of the river, Grandma Mariah lives only with her child, not much she can do for a living.
She was very grateful to receive basic food from Adaro, so she prayed that Adaro continued to be successful and have lots of good fortune.
"This means a lot to me," she said.

So did Sunyoto (50), who works as laborer, he was very grateful to receive basic food from Adaro.
"Thank you for the aid, hopefully it will continue," he said.
Village Secretary of Kuin Kecil Suryata said there were 238 basic food packages from Adaro for underprivileged residents here.
They were mostly farmers, also fishermen and elderly.
The number of population living in the village is 293 families or 800 people.
"We are very grateful for Adaro's assistance to our residents. Of course this is very useful," he said.
He hopes Adaro to distribute other form of aid in addition to basic food, such as scholarship, or sport facilities or business development assistance.
"We really need it also for our children and business development in our village," he said.
Director of Operation and QHSE of PT Sarana Daya Mandiri (SDM) Happy Danni said this activity was a real movement of Adaro's concern for social problems.
Adaro's basic food distribution program "Hidupkan Hati" is in a series of the company's 32nd anniversary which takes places in stages from July to September 2024, he explained.
In addition to Aluh-Aluh, Banjar District, Adaro Logistics distributes basic food to 16 other locations in South Kalimantan Province.
Adaro distributes as many as 27,000 basic food packages across 176 locations in Indonesia covering Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan.
