Adaro is distributing 27,000 basic food packages worth IDR9.47 billion for communities spread in three islands, Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan.

CSR Division Head of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Okty Damayanti in Adaro Foundation's (YABN's) written statement received in Tanjung, Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, Monday, said that the distribution of basic food assistance is a series of the company's 32nd anniversary.

Okty said that the basic food assistance is prioritized for pre-prosperous communities in Jakarta and Adaro Group's operational area through Adaro #HidupkanHati (Adaro Ignites Heart) movement.

She said that Adaro #HidupkanHati is a real movement of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk's concern for the society's social problems. 

"We believe every small action has a big impact and sharing is part of our commitment to building stronger and more empowered communities," said Okty.

Through Ignites Heart, Adaro Warrior is always grateful and ignites the heart of the recipient comunities so they always have hope.

Adaro has held this movement three times, in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The distribution of basic food is carried out in stages over the July-September 2024 with the peak of the event at the Adaro's 32nd anniversary.

The assistance provided to poor households with income below proverty spread in five provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, East Java, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and South Sumatra.

Okty said that Adaro collaborated with Rumah Zakat so that the assistance is distributed right on target and to the recipients' locations.

Adaro also collaborates with village government to verify data of the beneficiaries and distribution of the basic food.

"Adaro #HidupkanHati reminds us how important it is to share and care for each other," said Okty.

Adaro Operation Director Wahyu Sulistyo added that in more that 30 years of operation, Adaro continues to be committed to paying attention to the surrounding communities.

"Adaro continues to try to see and contribute to the communities around operations, especially ring one area," said Wahyu.

He said therea are still many villages in ring one area that need attention to eradicate poverty and building independent communities.
