Banjarbaru, Kalsel 8/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan farmers exchange value (NTP) in December 2016 recorded 97.84 up 0.08 percent compared to November 2016, which amounted to 97.76.

Head of the South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Diah Utami in Banjarbaru on Sunday said the NTP rise due to the price index of agricultural production is greater than the price of goods and services.

"The increase was caused by farmers received index rose by 0.80 percent compared to the paid index by 0.71 percent," she said.

If seen in each sub-sector, then three sub-sectors of agriculture has increased and two others experienced a decline in exchange rates.

Subsectors rose were horticulture by 0.69 percent, 1.42 percent for people plantation crops and livestock sub-sector by 0.41 percent.

"Two subsectors decreased it exchange rate ie 0.81 per cent of food crops and fisheries sub-sector by 0.59 percent," she said.

According to him, the increase in horticulture due to higher commodity prices of vegetables group by 0.79 percent and fruits by 1.69 percent.

The increase of people plantation crops subsector by 2.21 percent mainly due to increases in commodity index of coconut and rubber by 0.97 percent.

The rise in fisheries because of large livestock commodity price index rose by 0.25 percent, small livestock by 0.02 percent and poultry by 1.37 percent and 1.68 percent to livestock products.

Meanwhile, the decline in food crops due to the paddy crops index was down 0.01 percent and pulses declined by 1.30 per cent.

While the decline in the fishery due to fishing groups, particularly gabus (snakehead) fish, papuyu (climbing perch), shrimp, mackerel and squid down by 0.34 percent.
