Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 5/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Naval Ships (KAL) Kalambau has evacuated six passengers and motorist of speedboat that had lost contact from Larilarian Island, Sub-district of Sebuku Island, Kotabaru.
Head of the Banjarmasin Office of Search and Rescue (SAR) Abram Benjamin Kolimon in Kotabaru said on Thursday the evacuation from the Larilarian was performed on Wednesday at about 16.00 pm.
Previously, they were taken out of Majene, West Sulawesi, by their helper boat KM Cahaya Tanete 02 to the island of Larilarian. KAL transported them from Larilarian.
"The victim are immediately taken to Kotabaru with mileage cruise around five hours," he said.
Victim arrived safely at Fish Landing Base (PPI) port Kotabaru approximately at 21.00 pm and welcomed by family and the local community.
The tourists lost contact when cruising on a speedboat to the island of Samber Gelap on New Year's Eve. The incident occurred allegedly due to lack of navigation equipment on a speedboat, and groceries. Speedboat driven by Abdul Rahman (40), resident of Sungai Bali, Sub-district of Sebuku Island.
The passengers are Alpian (25), resident of Jl A Yani 38 Martapura, H Mahlan (28), resident of Jl Sekumpul, Martapura, Hendra (43), a resident Banjarbaru, M fadli (32) live on Jl Tunggul Irang, Martapura, and Endi ( 32) a resident of Jl Sekumpul Martapura.
Earlier, Kotabaru police chief AKBP H Suhasto, through the Head of Water Police Unit AKP Tony Hartono, said the lost speedboat was found and rescued by fisherman ship KM Cahaya Tanete 02.
Information obtained from the crew of KM Cahaya Tanete 12 who also sailed to Larilarian to take fish from the fishermen.
KM Cahaya Tanete 12 and 02 are vessel of Batulicin origin, Tanah Bumbu, who used to buy fish on the island of Larilarian. After buying the fish the boat can go straight to Majene, or return to Batulicin.
