Investment Minister and Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Bahlil Lahadalia opens the widest possible access for University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) academics to carry out investment research in the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara.
"An MoU has been agreed between me and the chancellor regarding ULM's role in supporting the progress of IKN through research activities and so on, including investment studies," Bahlil said in Banjarbaru, Thursday.
ULM' role, according to him, is very strategic in supporting IKN development in East Kalimantan, including it buffer areas in all provinces on the Island of Kalimantan.
Especially that ULM is the leading, largest and oldest campus in Kalimantan whose academics' thought and results of scientific studies are highly expected.

ULM Rector Professor Ahmad Alim Bachri stated that his party is ready to mobilize all resources available on campus to support IKN which is believed to have a major impact on the progress of Kalimantan as a whole.
"I immediately ordered that the MoU with the Invesmtnet Ministry to be followed up immediately with concrete action so that ULM's contribution can be felt immediately," he said.
Alim admitted that he was grateful and honored that ULM has been appointed by the Invesment Ministry in direct involvement in the realization of IKN, which is now is the stage of massive infrastructure development.

Minister Bahlil was present at the ULM Auditorium in Banjarbaru to give a public lecture in frot of hundreds of students with the theme "Potential investment in IKN in encouraging national economic growth.
Bahlil encouraged student to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit rathen than just pursuing a field of work as an employee after graduating from college.
