The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has sucessfully ranked first nationally for budget absorption until March 2024 for universities in Indonesia with the status of Public Service Agency Financial Management (PK-BLU).
"ULM's achievement was conveyed directly at the PK-BLU Supervisory Board meeting," said Rector of ULM Professor Ahmad Alim Bachri in Banjarmasin, Friday.
The best achievement makes the rector believes that ULM is able to carry out the mandate and responsibility in managing effective and efficient budget management.
BLU itself is a government agency offering services by providing good and services without prioritizing profit and based on the principles of efficiency and productivity as well as implementing sound business practices.

ULM, as the largest and oldest university in Kalimantan with A accreditation, has BLU status in early 2022 based on the Decree of Minister of Finance No. 82/KMK.05/2022.
Now ULM is preparing to become a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH), which is the highest level, because it has a full autonomy in managing finance and resources, including lecturers and education staff.
The Rector said ULM is one of the candidates priortized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to become PTN-BH this year, because it managed to score 343.06 above the minimum threshold score of 300 for PTN-BH rquirements.
"Now ULM is designing strategies to increase revenue through business activities that are expected to support the achievement of ULM's performance, one of which is optimizing asset management," he expounded.
