The District of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan Province, receives additional village fund amounting Rp5.59 billion from the central government to be distributed to the community through direct cash assistance (BLT) 2024 period.

"The additional village fund is a reward from the central government for 40 villages in Kotabaru which have good performance according to the established criteria," said acting Head of the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) for Kotabaru Muhammad Falih Ariyanto in Batulicin, Friday.

The criteria are free from corruption, the village has budgeted and distributed earmark fund or BLT, food security, and stunting.

In addition is the village performance based on financial management and village development as well as awards from ministry or government agency.

Falih admitted that this year village fund for increased by about 1.4 percent from last year's ceiling of Rp161.62 billion for the same number of villages.

Previously in 2023, Kotabaru had also received additional village fund with the same amount of Rp5.59 billion received by 40 villages.

Kotabaru KPPN is committed to continuing efforts to accelerate the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) both in Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru.
