The government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District, South Kalimantan, paraded around the city of Kandangan Adipura Award 2023 received from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK Ministry).

Acting Regent of HSS Hermansyah here on Wednesday expressed his gratitude to all parties who had contributed for winning the Adipura.

"Alhamdulillah, Kandangan City, HSS, has achieved Adipura Award 2023 in small city category for the fifth time," said Hermansyah.

He said this should be grateful as a result of hard work of all elements of society, especially Kandangan, and heads of regional government working units (SKPD).

The most important thing, he said, is the role of cleaning team who worked hard for a year to clean all city facilities until Adipura could consistently be maintained.

"I hope what has been done by the community and performance of related agencies to continue to be improved, so we can achieve Adipura Kencana in 2024," said Hermansyah.

The thankgiving event was not only to celebrate success, but as a form of appreciation for all elements of people, including cleaning workers.

The thankgiving event was continued with a parade of Adipura Award, decorated with various beautiful decorations and the parade was escorted directly by the entourage of acting HSS Regent by riding trail motorbike.

They crossed various points in Kandangan City showing the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness while bringing Adipura Award.

Also attending were acting Chairwoman of TP-PKK HSS Rusnawati Hermansyah, Head of Dispera KPLH Ronaldy Prana Putra, other HSS government officials, and village heads in the Kandangan Sub-district.

Kandangan received Adipura Award from LHK Ministry for the fifth time, namely in 1996, 2016, 2017, 2022, and 2023.
