The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan offers four very potential green investments, namely tourism, plantations, animal husbandry and fisheries.
Head of the South Kalimantan Investment and One-Stop Services Office, Endri, here in Banjarmasin, Tuesday, said that these four investments have great potential because they are already supported by adequate infrastructure.
Like tourism, he said, South Kalimantan has everything, be it natural scenery, beautiful beaches, as well as cultural traditions.
"Investors can explore the potential of all of that," he said.
Even now, said Endri, the Provincial Government has also built several tourist objects with good road infrastructure, including the Kiram Park, Bukit Batu, and Mandiangin natural attractions in Banjar District.
The famous Loksado natural tourism with the beauty of forests and mountains plus the unique culture of the Dayak tribe in Hulu Sungai Selatan District.
Beach tourism is found in three districts, namely Tanah Laut, Tanah Bumbu, and Kotabaru.
"Our governor stated that the natural beauty of South Kalimantan is like a scarf that came down from heaven, because its beauty can be seen from all sides," he said.
For investment potential in the plantation, said Endri, South Kalimantan has fertile soil, peat land for agriculture, as well as upland land for various crops, such as coffee to rubber.
Potential livestock investment, said Endri, one of which is beef cattle farming.
"Beef cattle can be (developed with) an intercropping system, it can be in oil palm plantations, this is a program that is already running," he said.
In the fisheries sector, said Endri, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government wants product downstreaming.
"Here there is a lot of potential for fish production both from the river and the sea, so there is a huge business opportunity for a factory here," he said.
Endri revealed that the green investment sector or investment that focuses on environmental, social and good governance aspects is encouraged to reduce South Kalimantan's dependence on the postal energy business sector.
"Currently the biggest investment coming in South Kalimantan is still coal mining, this could run out in time, because of that the renewable energy sector is starting to be pushed," he said.
The target for investment in South Kalimantan in 2022 is IDR11 trillion, and the achieving was more than 90 percent.
