Kotabaru Regional Secretary Said Ahmad and the Tourism, Youth, and Sports Office (Disparpora) launched the 2023 Tourism Calender of Events at Gedambaan Beach, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.
"The Calender of Events is kased on the principle of sustainable development by increasing tourist visits to Kotabaru," said Said Ahmad here as reported on Sunday.
From these various events, he remarked, tourist can see how rich the tourism and cultural potential is in Kotabaru that can give a good impression to tourists.
It is believed that this will be an exraordinary attraction in supporting increasingly advanced and quality tourism development.
"I ask for support of all parties, including tourism actors and all communities, to make these events successful," he said.
Meanwhile, acting Head of the Kotabaru Tourism Youth, and Sports Office Risa Ahyani said there are 17 events in the calender of tourism, including national scale events, to be held again in 2023.
"Paragliding and hand gliding events as well as several national scale events will be held again this year," said Riza Ahyani.
Risa expounded that paragliding, hand gliding, trail game, Meranti Putih, and the Regent Cup are included in the national scale events.
Besides, the Saijaan Cultural Festival (FBS), which in 2022 has been twice included in the Kharisma Event Nusantara of the Ministry of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"Hopefully the next FBS to be included again this year," he expected.
He also expounded that the Regent Cup badminton tournament will be the continuation of last year and would invite the national badminton athletes and Katir Res will also be included in the event.
Risa Ahyani hopes that all those events to be held in Kotabaru will bring an advance to tourism and sports in the district.
