Maju Bersama'enterprise (BUMDes) owned by Harusan Village, Amuntai Tengah Sub-district, assessed on the spot by the South Kalimantan BUMDes assessment team.

"The managerial, operational aspects, and the impact of the existance of BUMDes on the surrounding community are the focus of our assessment,' said head of the assessment team Agus Fariady in Amuntai, Friday (March 11, 2022).

Agus said that BUMDes is established by the community through village meeting to manage the village potential and the results will be returned to the community.

"Maju Bersama BUMdes in Harusan Village can be an example for other village BUMDes to innovate in managing village potential," said Agus, who is Head of Development Section for Empowerment of Village Economic Institution at the South Kalimantan Community and Village Empowerment Agency (DPMD).

Acting Head of DPMD HSU Amita Susana said the Maju Bersama BUMDes runs a mobile rice mill business and gallon water distribution.

"They serve people who need their service by coming directly to their homes," she said.

She considered that compared to other BUMDes in HSU, the benefits of BUMDes in Harusan Village were greater for the community.

She hopes the participation of Maju Bersama BUMDes in the BUMDes contest in South Kalimantan to motivate other villages to establish BUMDes to improve the village economy.
