The government of Kotabaru District in collaboration with PT Sime Darby Oils Pulau Laut Refinery (PT SDOPLR) has organized a market operation to distribute affordable cooking oil to stabilise cooking oil price and stocks in the district.
"A total of 3,600 liters of ALIF brand cooking oil are sold at the price of Rp13,500 per liter with a maximum purhase of 2 liters per person," said Head PT SDOPLR Mohd Hafiz Hamzah as reported on Monday.
This, he said, is a realization of the company's commitment and concern to help the government's efforts to solve surge in cooking oil price in the community.
One of housewives, Fatimah, said she was happy with the market operation of cooking oil that was sold at affordable price.
”Thank you PT SDOPLR for your participation in helping us dealing with this situation, especially to help us in our welfare in need,” she said.

PT SDOPLR has also been actively contributed in other activities, such as guiding MSMEs and utilazation of used pouches recycled into handicraft products (shopping bags, bookcases, shoe racks, flower vases) and others that entirely committed and focused on the welfare of the community and conserving the environment.
