A total of 360,621 people in Banjar District, South Kalimantan, have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine or 81.48 percent of the total population who should get the vaccine jab. 

Banjar Deputy Regent Said Idrus here in Martapura, Monday (February 21, 2022) said that the data came from the Health Office was submitted at the weekly coordination meeting of the district government. 

"The data was collected by the Health Agency regarding active case of COVID-19 as of February 18-20, 2022. We continue our efforts to increase vaccination for the entire community," he said on the sideline of the actvity.

According to him, Banjar government keeps encouraging all the members of the community to get the first, second, and the booster vaccine to create herd immunity in the district. 

Meanwhile, Head of Health Office Yasna said that currently 859 people are undergoing self-isolation, centered-isolation 11, hospitalization 60, 207 recoverd, and 4 died.

"We are still carrying out scheduled vaccination, including booster vaccination which are expected to increase in number, so we can achieve herd immunity," he said.

President Director of Ratu Zalecha Hospital Martapura Tofik Norman Hidayat said the bed occupancy rate of COVID-19 patients at this government-owned hospital is 26 and is being handled well.
