The number of social aid recipient, either from the city, provincial, or central government, in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan, has increased to became 70,000 families (KK).
"In 2021 the social aid recipient was about 40,000 families, this year (the number) has risen to 70 thousand," said Head of Social Agency Iwan Ristianto here on Tuesday.
Accoprding to him, the increase in the number of about 30 thousand families receiving Social Welfare Security (JKS) this year occurred in the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and BPJS Health.
"But it must be understood, this increase does not mean that the poverty rate has increased in Banjarmasin," said Iwan.
He expounded that the central government's social assistance from various ministries is extended it targets, such as the inclusion of data on the recipients of assistance for macro and small enterprise (UMK) which is Rp300.000 per month
"So the data of the central government aid from some ministries for the residents of Banjarmasin, both social and economic, has become one now as the recipient of social benefits," he expounded again.
All social or economic assistance originating from the city budget, provincial budget, and the state budget is now contained in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).
"Indeed, the biggest aid is from the state budget or central government," he said.
He said social assistance for PKH is about 14 thousand families, for non-cash food assistance 28 thouand, and for BPJS Health about 40 thousand.
