The flagship innovation program featured by Indocement are:
Citeureup Factory Complex.
• Energy efficiency of 681,907 GJ through the conversion of electrostatic precipitator into a bag house filter at Plant 4.
• Utilization of B3 fly ash waste weighing 224,385,7 tons
• Emission reduction of 116,241 tons CO2eq through termal energy efficiency from the operation of Plant 14.
• Citeureup factory was the first of cement industry to gain the Green Certificate from the Ministry of Industry in 2017.
Cirebon Factory Complex:
• Energy efficiency of 1,239.440 GJ through the use of rice husk as an alternative fuel.
• Utilization of 250 tons of used refractory B3 waste as an alternative raw material.
• Emission reduction of 107.40 tons CO2eq through temperature controlto reduce the formation of sulfate compounds in the main chimney of the cement factory.
Tarjun Factory Complex:
• Energy efficiency of 341,574,53 GJ by reducing the percentage ratio of the use of clinker in cement thereby reducing energy consumption of cement manufacture at the finish mill.
• Utilization of 2,052.39 tons of fly ash waste .
• Emission reduction of 115,851 tons CO2eq through repositioning of gas outlet tertiery air duct to ILC Calciner which resulted in emission reduction of 115,851 tons CO2eq.
Proper is an anuual award given by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to companies in Indonesia for their environmental performance.
In 2021, as many as 2,593 companies participated in the Proper Award, but only 47 companies received the highest Gold Proper and 186 companies won Green Proper.
