Deputy Regent of Kotabaru Andi Rudi Latif attended the closing ceremony of the fifth Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival (BSF) 2021 in Banjarmasin. 

The event that took place for three days from 8 to 10 October 2021 was closed by Mayor H Ibnu Sina. 

"This annual event, in the series of Banjarmasin's 495th anniversary, is aimed to elevate one of the Banjar's culture heritage, namely sasirangan cloth," the Mayor said, Sunday night (10/10).

Through the festival, sasirangan is continuously introduced and developed with contemporary innovation, so that it is known nationally and internationally as the identity of the people of South Kalimantan. 

"The City Government of Banjarmasin keeps committed to maintaining the dignity of sasirangan so it is preserved and becomes the pride of Banua (South Kalimantan) community," he noted in a press statement.

Ibnu Sina expounded that the desire of the city government to make BSF a national event is serious. Various preparation had been made as evidence of the seriousness of the city government and the Banjarmasin Dekranasda. 

"Hopefully this BFS can give birth to new motif designers of sasirangan. Thank you and see you at the sixth BSF next year," he said. 

Previously, Kotabaru Deputy Regent also attended the opening ceremony of BFS at the same place on Friday (8/10/2021) and the series of events.
