The Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival (BSF) 2021, an annual event in the series of the city anniversary, was held from 8 to 10 October even in the midst of imposing level 4 public activity restriction (PPKM).

The City of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, was by the central government determined to extend the restriction until October 18, 2021.

Mayor H Ibnu Sina in a press conference at City Hall, Friday, said that BSF was held according to schedule by involving sasirangan craftsmen, designers, and MSMEs.

Especially for sasirangan ambassador, this year there will be no artist from the capital. Instead, local designers and local artists will replace.

According to rules, he said, the Ministry of Home Affairs allows activities at public facilities or tourist sites with limited visitors of only 25 percent, and by applying strict health protocols.

Whereas BSF whose main objective is to promote customs and culture, he said, is carried out in two ways, offline and online. 

According to Ibnu Sina, BSF 2021 has an agenda of discussion and exhibition, as well as a carnival to be held indoors at the mall, with strict health protocols. 

"Every visitor who enters must use the PeduliLindungi apps, that the technicality,” he said.
