The number of positive patients exposed to coronavirus or COVID-19 in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, has gradually decreased in the past week.
Regent H Sayed Jafar here on Tuesday said alhamdulillah (thank God) the COVID-19 cases in Kotabaru continued to decline. Kotabaru is currently in the orange zone, no longer red like early August.
He said that the total number of people confirmed positive of COVID-19 in Kotabaru was 3,014, the patient recovered 2,823, while patients died 136.
"(Currently) 55 patients are under treatment," he said in a press statement.
They were treated at Stagen Hospital 5, PJS Hospital 11, Sebaya Hospital 1, Bhayangkari Hospital 1, and Marina Hospital 1.
Meanwhile, as many as 36 people are undergoing self-isolation.

"The government of Kotabaru is now focusing on carrying out vaccination," he said.
As many as 46,563 residents have been vaccinated from the total target of 251,832 residents.
"To prevent a spike in COVID-19 cases, we tighten the entrance to South-East Kalimantan border. We also prepare places for treatment of confirmed positive patients in all puskesmas (community health centers)," he said.
