Head of Banjarmasin City Health Agency Machli Riyadi said that the city has received 1,180 vials or equivalent to 11,800 doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine.

"This is the first time that we received Moderna vaccine," he said here on Thursday added that the vaccine was obtained last night from the central government.

"We plan to administer the vaccine to health workers and the public," he said.

Machli Riyadi said that the Moderna vaccine is specifically for the first COVID-19 vaccine inoculation, namely for people who have never been vaccinated. "And intended for the residents of Banjarmasin," pointed out.

Residents who want to be vaccinated must bring with them ID (KTP) and come to the nearest puskesmas (community health center). "For now there is no mass vaccination," he said.

With the entry of the Moderna vaccine, Banjarmasin City then has quite a lot of stock, thus the third stage of COVID-19 vaccination can be carried out maximally.

The target of the third stage of COVID-19 vaccination in the city is over 300 thousand people.
