Assistant for Government Affairs of the Tanah Laut Administration H Bambang Kusudarisman said the district is currently facing three conditions that are considered critical, namely COVID-19, forest and land fires, and drugs.

"Tanah Laut Regent HM Sukamta termed these three conditions as the object of war," said H Bambang Kusudarisman when opening the Consolidation of City Policies Responding Drug Threat in the Institutional Sector in Pelaihari, Tuesday (August 10, 2021).

Tanah Laut has supported the national strategy on illicit drug distribution prevention and eradication (P4GN) in its policies and programs.

"Starting from the bylaw, regional regulation, forming a task force, to the establishment of the drug-free village (or what so-called as Desa Bersinar)," he said.

Bambang warned all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Non-Permanent Employees (PTT) in Tanah Laut to stay away from drugs.

"The regent will not forgive. When there is evidence, will be processed by the court, to be then dishonorably dismissed," he said.

The synergy between the Tanah Laut government with the district's National Narcotics Agency (BNNK), he said,  was appreciated with the provision of a grant of IDR200 million for conducting urine tests on ASN in the district government.

Also attending the event was Head of Tanah Laut BNNK Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Katamsi Sad Retna and representatives of government working units (SKPD) of the Tanah Laut government.
