Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Narcotics Unit Police dismantled and captured a perpetrator of ecstasy kind ineks network involving inmates of Malang Prison, East Java.
Banjarmasin police chief Kombes Pol Drs Wahyono MH here Wednesday said the perpetrator, initial SL, has long been in business with a Malang Prison inmate.
"Three couriers that we have captured before claimed to have illicit goods from the perpetrator (SL), so we did an investigation and caught him," he said.
SL, who was arrested with 550 ineks as evidence, is known as a resident of Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 5 near Lambung Mangkurat Stadium, East Banjarmasin.
Said Chief of Police, SL had been arrested after drug unit police arrested three drug couriers, RA, RP and AR.
"SL is a network of an inmate in Malang Prison. They control the narcotics via mobile phone by sending hundreds of ineks by ship," he said when the case exposed at the Headquarters of the Water Police Unit Banjarmasin.
SL in the investigation claimed to have six times transactions with Malang inmates and delivery by ship.
