The Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) provided early education about the environment to children who are victims of the flash floods in the Sub-districts of Batu Benawa and Hantakan, Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District, South Kalimantan.

"The environmental education is accompanied by fun activities for psychological first aid for children," said Director of Walhi of South Kalimantan Kisworo Dwi Cahyono, Sunday.

For two days of activities, Walhi presented a member of the national Walhi Surachman Ponco and alumni of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM)'s psychology study program of the Faculty of Medicine Yuyun Yuliendanie.

"Environment education is needed and must be given from early age, so they understand the importance of the environment. The education can provide basic knowledge to children not to damage the environment," said Ponco.
