The trans-Kalimantan road in Sungai Puting, Tapin District, South Kalimantan, was again severely damaged due to downpour and heavy trucks going back and forth.

Commander of the Sub-district Military 1010-05/Candi Laras Utara Capt. Inf. Budiman here on Monday appealed to passing road users to be cautious, owing to the condition of the road with many potholes and muddy.

Meanwhile, repairs were carried out with mutual assistance driven by members of 1010-05/Candi Laras Utara Military Command, Candi Laras Utara Police, assisted by PT Binuang Mitra Bersama (BMB), and the local residents.

"In recent days we have been assisted with two heavy equipment graders from PT Kharisma Alam Persada (KAP) and PT Tapin Coal Terminal (TCT) worked together with the local community to repair the damaged road," he explained.

He said that the road is a connecting between Marabahan and Margasari which road users often take it as an alternative route.

"We all have an obligation to monitor the smooth flow of road users and godown directly with company representatives to repair this road," he said.
