Banjarbaru Mayor HM Aditya Mufti Ariffin stated that his government ready to take firm action against any business that does not comply with the rule in the implementation of micro-scale public activity restriction (micro-PPKM).

"We will take firm action and give a strong warning to owners or managers of business places who do not obey micro-PPKM," he pointed out when leading the micro-PPKM patrol in Banjarbaru, Saturday night. 

He reminded that as it has been stipulated in the micro-PPKM, the operational hours for shops, cafes, and other places that sell food and beverages is only until 22.00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time). 

All businesses in Banjarbaru are expected to obey the rule applied by the city government to curb the transmission of COVID-19 which is considered still high in the city. 

"The micro-PPKM program is one of the government's effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, besides people's selves-awareness in implementing health protocol through 3M (wearing mask, washing hands, and maintaining distance)," he said.

Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Doni Hadi Santoso said that he is ready to support the city government in applying PPKM as well as enforcing firm and measurable action against violators.

"The firm and measurable action, such as not getting angry when carrying duties, and we will not tired of urging the public to apply health protocol," said the Police Chief. 

Commander (Dandim) of 1006/Mtp Military Command Lt. Col. Imam Muchtarom said ready to deploy army personnel to support upright the PPKM, so as to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. 

Meanwhile, the patrol led by the Mayor, followed by Deputy Mayor Wartono, Police Chief, and Dandim 1006/Mtp, was supported by hundreds of officers. 

They visited business places that usually open at night, such as cafes and eatery. In fact, officers conducted rapid antigens to visitors.
