The Regent of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) H A Chairansyah and Chairman of Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region XI Kalimantan Professor Udiansyah placed the first for the reconstruction of Langgar (a worship place smaller than mosque)Norhidayah in Alat Village, Hantakan Sub-district, Thursday (Feb 11, 2021).
Professor Udiansyah said LLDIKTI raised donations from private universities throughout Kalimantan for the reconstruction of Langgar Norhidayah, which was hit by landslide and was swept away by floods.
"The total donation that we collected was Rp300 million and that was still lacking. But Alhamdulillah (thank God) Baznas (the National Alms Agency) helped and made up for the shortfall," he said.
He targets that within three months, insha Allah (God Willing), the construction will be completed and the community will be able to worship again in their langgar.
"We assist the reconstruction of the langgar from planning, design drawings of the building, supervision to funding," he said.
The construction is carried out on a labor-intensive basis. "So, in addition to mutual cooperation (gotong royong), craftsmen in Alat Village will help to work until it finished," he said.
HST Regent H A Chairansyah expressed his deepest gratitude to volunteers, including LLDIKTI who helped build Langgar Norhidayah.
"Previously LLDIKTI had coordinated in advance about what assistance was appropriate for flood victims. So we directed it to the reconstruction of Langgar Norhidayah which was lost in the flash flood," he said.
"This langgar is very important for the people of Alat Village, especially as a place of congregational prayer for them. Moreover, it approaching Ramadhan," said Chairansyah.
