Banjarmasin government is again promoting the city's superior products to the national level through the 2020 Jogja Trade Expo, one of which is the typical sasirangan cloth.

The exhibition at the Malioboro Mall, Yogyakarta, from 12 to 15 November 2020 was also used by the city government to promote tourism and easy investment.

“This activity is our effort to introduce the city's typical products to domestic and foreign customers,” said Acting Mayor of Banjarmasin H Hermansyah.

He hopes by participating in this activity, besides improving the people's economy, someday it is used as capital for local entrepreneurs to develop their distinctive products, so they can penetrate foreign markets.

Head of the Yogyakarta Industry and Trade Office Ir Aris Riyanta said the percentage of export value had been achieved through this handicraft product exhibition until last September was about 75 percent. This figure is almost the same as the export value of handicraft last year.

He hopes this exhibition will add the export value of the participants. “Do not let who come to Yogjakarta not to add acquaintances, you must exchange business cards to increase our brotherhood. With that hopefully products that have been exhibited here will sell even more,” he said when opening the exhibition.

Attending the event were Banjarmasin Assistant 3 for General Administration Ahmad Nor Djaya, Head of Investment and One-Stop Service Agency Muryanta, and Head of Board of Economy.
