PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (ITP) Tarjun Plant encouraged it partner village in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, to enter the Climate Village Program (ProKlim), which is a program of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).
PT ITP Plant Tarjun's Environment Section Eva Ariani here on Thursday said the proklim for management is a vehicle for increasing public awareness of protecting the environment, which indirectly has a positive effect on good ecosystem management.
"The company boosting and continue to collaborate with officials of Langadai Village, Kelumpang Hilir Sub-district, to improve environment quality not only for the people, but the area which is the buffer for the sustainability of the natural ecosystem," he said.
He hopes that the Proklim would improve their environmental quality and to be well preserved.

Head of the Langadai Village Sutrisno expressed his gratitude to the company that had helped in the preparation before the Proklim assessment team come to the area.
"Many things are assisted by the company and of course indirectly they care about us in term of Proklim assessment," he said.
He hoped Langadai can meet the requirements according to KLHK's Proklim criteria.
The environmental activist of Langadai Adawiyah said she was proud her village was chosen to run Proklim. It certainly would be encouragement for the local community to pay attention to the environment.
"For us, paying attention to the environment is one of the main things, because it indirectly maintains the sustainability of the surrounding natural ecosystem," she said.
