The Kotabaru district government received an award from the Ministry of Finance for its success in achieving Unqualified Opinion (WTP) in the financial report for five years in a row.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani handed over the award symbolically via video conference to the Kotabaru administration along with 286 agencies from the state ministries, institutions, and regional government, who also received the awards, Tuesday.

The award presentation marked the opening of the 2020 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) for government financial accounting and reporting, which was witnessed by the Kotabaru officials from the operation room here.

After the event, Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar expressed his gratitude and thanked all the district government working units who had worked together in preparing financial and asset reports.

We have to really care of this and have to improve it, he continued, because with good financial and asset reports we will continue to get assistance from the central government.

"Financial and asset reports are the heart of the government. In the future, we must improve it together," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Speaker of the Kotabaru DPRD Syairi Mukhlis said, with this achievement, the district government must improve its performance, its homework must be completed, and what is good is continued.
