The signing of the document for the transfer of assets worth tens of billions of rupiah was carried out by representatives of the ministry and the city government at City Hall, Tuesday.

Mayor H Ibnu Sina expressed his deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture for being willing to grant the land. He said he would immediately use the land to build public facilities, especially rusunawa (low-cost rental apartment).

"We are grateful for this grant. In accordance with the plan, the city government will make this land to build rusunawa," he said.

The construction of rusunawa is an effort of the city to organize a number of point areas still classified as a slum to be in line with the government program of the city without slum area (Kotaku). While the city continues its efforts to remove the slum through various means.

"Hopefully this will be a solution to make Banjarmasin as a city without slum," he said.
