Joint officers from Banjarmasin City Police, 1007/Banjarmasin Military Command, and Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) enforced the health protocol discipline by raiding three markets in the Central Banjarmasin.


As a result, 30 violators were secured and all given social sanctions in the form of sweeping and cleaning trash on the streets.

"We combed the Sudimampir Market, Baru Market, and Cempaka Market. We still found people not wearing masks," said Central Banjarmasin Police Chief Comr Irwan Kurniadi SIK, Tuesday.

The deployment of officers to patrol the health protocol was to follow up on the implementation of sanctions based on the Banjarmasin Mayor Regulation (Perwali) No. 68 of 2020.

"Socialization is considered done enough. Today we enforce the rules and impose sanctions for those who violate," said the 2006 Police Academy (Akpol) alumnus.

Comr Irwan expects the public to obey wearing masks. Then get used to diligently washing hands and to keep physical distance, and to avoid crowds.

"Always remember 3M+1T, namely wearing a mask, washing hands, keeping distance, and not to crowd or be in a crowd, everyone must obey," he concluded.
