The Lambung Mangkurat Field in Kandangan, the capital city of South Hulu Sungai (HSS), was packed by hundreds of cyclists who came from inside and outside of Sout Kalimantan to race in the 2019 Tour de Loksado.
Regent of HSS H Achmad Fikry, who welcame them on Saturday (19/10), said the coming of the cyclists as guests to stopover and got some rest in Kandangan, should be thankful.
"If we want to develop this event could be combined with bamboo rafting (famous tour in Loksado), which held routinely in HSS, then it will be lively. But the time of implementation need adjustment to make it possible with the condition of Amandit River water discharge," he remarked.

He said he has spoken to Head of South Kalimantan Tourism Agency H.Dahnial Kifli to propose the yearly agenda of cycling race to make it as tourism promotion, especially in HSS.
Considering the event to attract people from outside, the participants will be able to enjoy the beauty of Loksado. Then, as they go home, they will spread the beautiful Loksado story, and people will come and keep coming to Loksado.

The 2019 Tour de Loksado (French language for Loksado tour) is a cycling event held by South Kalimantan Tourism Agency with a start at a 0 kilometer Banjarmasin to travel a distance of 176 kilometers to Loksado, HSS. This year 418 participants involved in three category: age, women, and general.
Kandangan is one of pitstop for participants to stopover for a rest after traveling for more than a 100 kilometers. The next, participants to encounter extreme path to go to finish line in Loksado.
When Regent of HSS H.Achmad Fikry released them to go to finish line, the District Secretary H.Muhammad Noor, asistants, Inspektor of HSS and head of government working units (SKPD) were attending.
