Head of Apuai Village, Banjar District, M Topik, said he was very proud and happy because the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor came to visit his remote village in Banjar Regency.
"Thank you Governor, thank you, Uncle Birin, for arriving in our village. Since I was a child, until now, you the only Governor have come to our village," said Topik when he welcomed the Governor's entourage in his village on Wednesday (06/19/2019).
The arrival of Uncle Birin to Apuai Village in the "Tourdes" program, one of the programs of the Governor of South Kalimantan to go directly to all regions of South Kalimantan, in order to absorb the aspirations of the people directly.
On this occasion, Topik conveyed various aspirations that were expected to be fulfilled by the government, both district, provincial and central.
According to him, at present, his party has allocated funds for the construction of village roads, through village funds, which have been disbursed by the government and included in village development programs prepared by the village team.
The road construction program, he added, was an attempt to open Apuai village from the status of an isolated village.
"We really hope for the support of the Governor, to be able to complete the construction of the road," he said.
In addition to roads, residents also hope that the government can help improve the economy of the community, through the construction of other infrastructure facilities, such as education, health, agriculture and others.
The governor responded by saying that all community aspirations would be fulfilled in accordance with the capabilities of the provincial governments.
All villages in South Kalimantan, he said, must be a developed village, like a city. Villagers have the right to get all the facilities as well as facilities owned by the city community.
