Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) and the agriculture technology Islamic boarding school (Pondok Pesantren Teknologi Pertanian) Al-Islam in Kambitin Village, Tabalong, signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the implementation of the Adaro Santri Sejahtera Program.
YABN Manager Gufron Solihin stated this program to prepare the santri to develop their businesses, so they could be independent after graduating from boarding schools.
"Santri will be able to become independent entrepreneurs through various trainings that we provide," explained Gufron.
The Adaro Santri Sejahtera (the prosperous santri Adaro) program covers cattle, duck, freshwater cultivation, agriculture and fishery products.
Gufron said the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation for three years will provide guidance, support tools to financial management training. Including providing insight into product marketing both in cooperative business containers or CV.
The head of the Kambitin Al Islam Islamic Boarding School Gusti Thamberani said he was quite proud of Adaro's attention in developing business for the santri (Islamic boarding school student).
"Agricultural and plantation land in Islamic boarding schools is sufficient to support the implementation of Adaro's program," Thamberani explained.
Representing the Regent of Tabalong, Expert Staff for Political Law and Government Mukhlis Ridhani said the Adaro Santri Sejahtera program is in line with the district's vision and mission of creating a prosperous and religious society.
