The South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) destroyed more than 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) seized from the drug network of suspected Ogah and Yayan.
"After the case files are completed at the investigator, then the evidence can be destroyed and left little for evidence at the trial," said Head of the Eradication of BNNP Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Edy Saprianadi in here on Friday.
Narcotics in the form of white crystal was destroyed by blending to dissolve with water detergent and then discarded.
With the destruction, around 30,000 people have been saved from the danger of drug abuse, assuming a gram of crystal meth be used by 10 abuser.
The event was attended by law enforcement officials from the Prosecutors Office, BPOM, and the South Kalimantan Regional Police Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba).
Previously, the BNNP team led by Comr Yanto Suparwito captured ID alias Ogah (37) and SN alias Yayan (36) at a separate location in Banjarbaru, Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
At present the South Kalimantan BNNP is still tracing the supplier's network of 3 kilograms of crystal meth from China which was confiscated from the two suspects.
