Kandangan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The District Government (Pemkab) of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) through the Public Housing, Settlement and Environment Agency (Dispera KPLH) planting 67 trees.


Head of the agency H MK Saputra in Kandangan, Friday (1/12), said the planting of 67 trees was in the framework of the 67th Anniversary of the district and the green revolution launched by South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor.

"The trees planted are two types, Spatodea and Crepe Myrtle, and the location of planting is around 2 December Monument or also known as Ketupat Hamalau Monument," he said, when met on the sidelines of tree planting activities, Friday (1/12) afternoon.

According to him, this action was attended by HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry with Vice Regent H Ardiansyah and officials of the local government who took part in the planting of shade trees by the roadside.

Dozens of shade trees were planted on the land has been prepared for each official and given fertilizer after planted.

"We hope that the shade trees will be useful and can become icons once they enter the increasingly shady and beautiful Kandangan," said the regent.
