Barabai, South Kalimantan 23/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Three sweepers in Central Hulu Sungai (HST) district, South Kalimantan, received umrah prizes through a draw for the orange troops carried out by the local government for its success in winning the greenest city award, Adipura.
One of the lucky sweepers received the umrah prize, Wahyuni, in Barabai on Wednesday admitted quite happy after his name emerged as the winner.
"Never thought I win the umrah as a gift because the city of Barabai won Adipura," said Wahyuni.
In addition to Wahyuni, two other janitors who had their luck for going to the Holy Land are Ma'ruf and Mas`ud.
The sweepstake was held at the Regent's Office lead by the Vice Regent of HST HA Chairansyah, Acting Secretary HA Tamzil and Chairman of MUI KH Wajihuddin Saleh.
Vice Regent H A Chairansyah expressed his gratitude and high appreciation to all parties, especially to the orange troops for their efforts so as to reach Adipura for the small city category.
"This Umrah prize uses the Bupati's personal fund and one winner is financed by a local businessman," Chairansyah explained.
He also said that giving the umrah prize is a form of appreciation to the janitors for their hard work and devotion so far.
