Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru through Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) held technical training (bimtek) for government agency (SKPD) website administrators to strengthen public services in digital era.
Secretary of the Kotabaru Diskominfo Ida Rahimah said that website management plays strategic role as a means of transparency, accountabily, and dissemination of development information.
"We emphasize the important of improving the capacity of website admin to support more proffessional public information management," she said here on Wednesday.

This technical guidance aims to improve the skills of website admin in each SKPD in managing content and utilizing information technology accurately, quickly, and responsive. Websites are the face of the government in providing public services.
This effort is also expected to strengthen the quality of public service in the digital era, where the public increasingly demand trasparent and easy accessible information.
Kotabaru's Assistant for General Administration, Selamat Riyadi, added that the regional government website not only serves as showcase for information, but also represents the quality of public service.

“A professionally managed Website is a strategic medium for communicating programs, policies, as well as development achievements to the public. The role of admin is crucial to ensure the quality of information is maintained,” he said .
He hopes this bimtek will provide momentum for SKPDs and sub-districts (kecamatan) to improve technical skills, understand informative content standards, and managing websites sustainably. This will further improve the quality of public information dissemination in Kotabaru District.
