Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Speaker of South Kalimantan Representative Council (DPRD) H Supian HK expected that MSMEs (UMKM) would expand their network and improve competitiveness of local products.
Supian HK made his remarks after attending the openoing of South Kalimantan Expo 2025 (Kalsel Expro 2025) at the Provincial Government Office Complex in Banjarbaru (35 km from Banjarmasin), Sunday afternoon (August 10, 2025).

He said, the annual expo is not only a showcase for local products, but an opportunity to showcase the province's superior potential at the national and even international level.
“We want South Kalimantan's MSMEs to have a higher grade, and this expo must be a momentum to learn, to innovate and opening up broader collaboration opportunities. Improve local products both in quality and quantity,” Supian emphasized.
South Kalimantan Expo 2025 involved hundreds of participants, consisting of government agencies, private companies, and MSMEs coming from districts and cities across the province.
A variety of leading products were displayed, from handicrafts, regional culinary specialties, agricultural products, to local technology innovations.
With the high enthusiasm both participants and visitors, Supian optimistic the expo will have a positive impact on regional economy.
