Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting Regional Secretary of Kotabaru H Khairul Aswandi closed the 55th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) or National Quran Recitation Competition for the district level
of Kotabaru in Pulau Sebuku Sub-district.
He congratulated the winners of each competition branch at the MTQ.
"To the kafilah (caravans) who win championship, I congratulate them for their achievements. Keep on training with more enthusiasm and improve your quality in understanding religion, faith, and values of love for Al-Qur'an. Prove that you deserve to win at the provincial and international level," he said in Kotabaru, Wednesday.

For those who have not succeeded, he encouraged them not to discouraged, continue to develop their potential so they can win at the next MTQ.
He also expressed his appreciation to all levels of the organizing committee who had worked hard in implementing the 55th National MTQ for the district level of Kotabaru.
"On behalf of the government and the peole of Kotabaru, I would like to express my highest thanks and appreciation," he said.
He hopes that the enthusiasm of reading Al-Qur'an in people's lives continue to increase and bring blessings to Kotabaru District.
"I am the acting Regional Secretary tonight standing in front of you all representating Regent of Kotabaru who in a few days will end his term. I am very grateful to work with the people of Pulau Sebuku, and I would like to express my gratitude for the support, participation and cooperation have been forged so far, and I apologize if there were things that were unpleasant during my leadership," he said.
At the 55th MTQ the winner of ta'aruf parade was Pulau Sebuku, and the overall champion was Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district. Acting Regional Secretary accompanied by Head of Pulau Laut Sebuku Sub-district handed over trophies.
