Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 5/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Kotabaru police again managed to secure the evidence of abuse of illegal drugs amounted to 10,290 pills.
"The evidence were obtained from 20 cases during February 2017," said Kotabaru Chief Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner (AKBP) H Suhasto, through the Chief of Narcotics Unit Adjunct Commissioner (AKP) Ubaldus Delo here, Wednesday.
Ubaldus explained in law enforcement during February, drug unit police successfully handling 20 cases with 21 suspects, 18 were male and three female.
Evidence from those cases were 10,050 pills ofCarnophen/Zenith, and Dextro, and four packages of sabu-sabu weighing 0.87 grams.
Police also secured the evidence in the form of 241 pills Trihexyphenidyl (THD), and money Rp12.604.000 from the hand of the suspect.
A number of four-wheeled vehicles and two-wheelers, mobile phones, and other items used for the smooth operation of the suspect were also secured.
From 20 cases handled, 17 cases related to Health Law No. 36/2009. Three cases related to Law No. 35/2009 on narcotics.
Meanwhile, Trihexyphenidyl (THD) or Trihex is Parkinson's disease drugs that decrease the function of nerves that usually occurs in the elderly over 50 years.
This drug is used to treat movement disorders, which is abnormal and uncontrolled. The drug is also used to treat the side effects of antipsychotic drugs in patients with mental disorders (schizophrenia).
