Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, H Sayed Jafar stated his support for the development of human resources (HR) to create jobs for vocational high school students in the district.
"Hopefully SMK Babunga Estate will always be a quality vocational school in educating and producing the nation's best sons and daughters, especially in Kotabaru," said the Regent when attending the SMKS Berbunga Estate's 14th anniversary in Pamukan Utara Sub-district, Monday (August 20, 2024).
He said make them have the character of Pancasila who are able to survive in global competition at local, national and international levels.
The Bebunga Estate vocational school was built to provide education for the children of employees who work at the Minamas Group oil palm plantation company and residents of surrounding villages.
It opens three skill competencies tailored to the needs of industry, business and jobs, namely Plantation Agribusiness (ATP), Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR), and Accounting (AK) and has been accredited with a B grade.
Regional CEO of KSP Minimas Group Abdul Jalil Sulaiman conveyed the company's gratitude to Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar for attending the celebration and the closing of volleyball tournament.
"I am personally very grateful. This is a special visit for Minamas Group, which is attended directly by the Regent of Kotabaru," he said.
He hopes the SMKS Babunga Estate to continue to improve in competitiveness both within the Minamas region and outside the company.
The event was also filled with various activities, including the exhibition of superior products from the SMK's students.
