Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A total of 31 teachers from elementary (SD) to high school level in Tapin District, South Kalimantan, were provided practical guidance to using artificial intelligence (AI) and coding to optimize student learning.
Astri AR, an organizing committee member, said the AI and coding training which is held from July 18 to 22, 2025 at SMP 1 Tapin is to adapt with technological development in education and was facilitated by South Kalimantan Center of Teachers and Educators.
"This is a follow-up of the national policy to integrate coding and AI into education curriculum," she said in Rantau, Tapin capital, Monday.

The participants were teachers from 31 schools that have received School Operational Assistance Performance (BOS Kinerja) funds, which were then used to support this training.
Through the subjects presented by BGTK instructors, she said, teachers were equipped with skills to apply digital technology in learning process.
“This training is designed to enable teachers to develop digital literacy and become agents of transformation in their respective schools,” she said.
Astri informed that the coding and AI trainng is part of the Tapin Education Office to increase teachers capacity amidst the dynamics of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
The next stage, she said, is for participants to apply what they learned from training in their respective schools and to report the implementation as a form of follow-up of the program.
