Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 11/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kotabaru ready to compete to win adiwiyata (environmentally cultured school) in Southeast Asian level after successfully became national adiwiyata school.
Chairman of the Kotabaru Adiwiyata steering committee H.Akhmad Rivai here on Sunday said one of the ticket to move forward to compete for the title, MAN Kotabaru must successfully achieved the Adiwiyata Mandiri Schools.
"Adiwiyata Mandiri School assessment will be held in March-April 2017. Hopefully MAN Kotabaru achieves success, so it can advance to the Southeast Asian level," he said.
Rivai, who is also the head of Human Settlements and Housing Agency, added that local government supports and improves coordination with MAN Kotabaru to achieve the Adiwiyata Mandiri title and drove to Adiwiyata Southeast Asia.
MAN Principal H Abdul Muis said he is optimistic in achieving Adiwiyata Mandiri and hopes to advance to the Southeast Asian level.
"We have fulfilled Some prerequirement to be Adiwiyata Mandiri School and now awaiting the assessment," he said.
