Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) in South Kalimantan has maintained A accreditation for the institution which was recently published by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
"The certificate of accreditation with A status for ULM was issued on March 5, 2024 with a score of 365," said ULM Chancellor Prof Ahmad Alim Bachri in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.
This extraordinary achievement, he said, was achieved thanks to hard and smart work, collaboration and synergy of all the ULM academic community that had been built so far.
The Rector acknowledged that maintaining A accreditation has not been easy since ULM obtained it for the first time in 2019 with a validity period of five years.

In fact, ULM "papers" score for accreditation for the start of his leadership as rector in 2022 was only 2.89, while the requirement to survive A accreditation is at least 3.25.
"Alhamdulilah (Thank God) we all work in accelerated manner, our performance to increase the value of main performance indicators (IKU), including Sinta, finally saved the value of papers," he said.
Next, the Chancellor wants to achieve the Superior accreditation immediately with the target no later than December 2024.
"This is our homework, I hope that the process will be in progress by October and the result will be in November," he said.
Syimbolicaly the chancellor received the A accreditation certificate from the Chair of ULM Quality Assurance (LPM) Prof Agung Nugroho, and witnessed by deputy chancellors and Chair of ULM Senate Prof Hadin Muhjad during thanksgiving and iftar together at the ULM Rectorat in Banjarmasin.
In addition to accreditation, the Rector said that his party was also grateful for a number of other achievements, including seven study programs at FKIP which recently winning Superior accreditation.
