Marabahan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The government of Barito Kuala (Batola), South Kalimantan, has again won the Adipura award for 2023 with a category of small city from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).
"With a collaboration in Batola we are able to obtain the clean city award of Adipura," said acting Regent Mujiyat when confirmed in Marabahan, Wednesday.
He said that the Adipura award was a success of all policy makers and the elements of society.
Five cities and districts in Indonesia received Adipura Kencana 2023 or the highest award and 106 districts and cities received the Anugerah Adipura 2023 for their performance in cleanliness and waste management.

Mujiyat said that Barito Kuala District was recorded to win the Adipura award for four times in 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023.
Meanwhile, Vice President of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin suggested at the ceremony that the quality sustainable environment to continue to be enriched through various innovations, so that it can adapts to the dynamics of time.
VP also requested that the essence of Adipura program to be maintained to assure the involvement of various elements, especialy government performance and the community participation to realize sustainable development.
Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya said that the Adipura activity builds active participation of all level of society to play role in harmonizing green economic growth.
In additon, she said, it has a social and ecological function in sustainable city development.
When receiving the award from Deputy Minister Alue Dohong, acting Regent Mujiyat was accompanied by Regional Secretary Zulkipli Yadi Noor and Head of Environment Office Rusmadi.
