Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Ministry of Transportation the feasibility of operating buses serving passengers on the Eid mudik (homecoming tradition) flow back in Terminal Kilometer 6 Banjarmasin.
Head of Administration Ministry of Transportation Aan Sunandar came to Terminal Km-6 Banjarmasin on Saturday to check directly majors Intercity interprovincial (AKAP) bus fleet.
"The safety of passengers to the destination becomes our most important concern. One must be ensured is means of transport had to be roadworthy," he said.
According to him, checking the feasibility of these buses was already done in advance by the local Transportation Agencyassisted the security forces, until he was sure all the buses at the terminal have been tested enough.
"If we only see the outer appearance there are several buses that are already quite alarming, but the feasibility of the road has been tested properly," said Aan Sunandar.
He is expecting, for the rejuvenation of public transport in this terminal later, till a maximum passenger comfort can be given.
"Yes, it should be done gradually in coordination with the bus company. And we ask it is intensively conducted by local Transportation Agency," he said.
