Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of Trade and Metrology at the Tanah Laut Cooperative and Trade Agency (Diskopdag) Abdillah said that the agency in collaboration with the Tuntung Pandang Tanah Laut Civil Servant Cooperative held a discounted market by providing 6 tons of bulk cooking oil.
"Every household is limited to buying a maximum of 5 liters and 10 liters for each Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) actor," he said, after the opening of the market in the yard of the Diskopdag Office, Saturday (April 16, 2022).
To purchase bulk cooking oil a buyer must showing an ID card and bringing a jerry can.
The discounted market aims to help people get cooking oil at a lower price than on the market to meet their needs during Ramadan and preparations for Eid al-Fitr.
"We hope that the community's need for cooking oil can be met at a low price, at least this activity can reduce the burden on the community in terms of price. Hopefully the residents will be happy with this activity," said Abdillah.
One of the buyers, Inah, was grateful to be able to buy bulk cooking oil at a price below the market price. She hopes the event will be held again at another time.
"Alhamdulillah, today I can buy bulk cooking oil for Rp 14,000 per liter, if in the market it can be Rp20,000, the difference is quite a lot. I am happy with this cheap market, hopefully there will be more events like this," said Inah.
