Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Chairman of Commission III on infrastructure and development of the DPRD South Kalimantan H Bardiansyah revealed the Ministry of Transportation states immediately to follow-up the development of the Port of Swarangan in Tanah Laut.
"Statement of the Ministry of Transport (MoT) about Swarangan Port (about 130 kilometers east Banjarmasin) was given at the current Commission III visit to Jakarta last week," he said here on Tuesday.
"In our working visit 5 to 7 November 2015, we question to the Ministry of Transportation about Swarangan Port development," he said, accompanied by Chairman of the DPRD of South Kalimantan Hj Noormiliyani Abrani Sulaiman.
Related information that the construction of the Port that impressed no progress or halted, the Commission III will conduct a review to the field, as well as coordinating with local government.
"We also need to know from Tanah Laut District about the problems and solutions they have done so far towards the sea port infrastructure development," he said to AntaranewsKalsel.
"It's a pity if project failed while it had cost about Rp80 billion and funding comes from the central government," said the Golkar Party politician.
Former Head of Education Agency hoped, Swarangan Port development program become one of priorities of the central government and soon can be completed.
