Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has launched digital transformation applications and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center for accelerating development in the AI sector, an official informed on Monday.
"Because in 2021, we observed that there were thousands of university students who joined the micro-credential program which requires computing power," Nizam said.
"This is why we needed an AI Center to accelerate the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Freedom in Learning and Campus) program and prepare digital talents in the artificial intelligence sector," he affirmed.
Lecturers and university students can utilize the services available within the AI Centre for a student project or for learning activities, he said.
In addition to the AI Centre, the ministry has also unveiled the Institutional Information System (SIAGA), which aims to bolster services from the ministry, he informed.
